Know your soil conditions and grow the right plants for your garden
Knowing when to water, whether your soil pH is right, and how much light your plants actually receive is the foundation of healthy growth. The EL-SM-METER3IN1 combines three essential measurements in one compact instrument: a soil pH meter, a soil moisture meter, and a sunlight strength meter. That makes routine soil monitoring fast, simple, and reliable across houseplants, container gardens, vegetable plots, borders, and lawns.
Unlike guesswork at the surface, the thin probes reach the root zone so you see what your plants experience where it matters. Select the function on the 3-position switch, place the probes into the soil, and read the result instantly on the dial. Moisture displays on a 0 to 10 scale, pH reads from 3.5 to 8, and light shows on a 0 to 2000 scale for quick sunlight strength checks.
The meter is self-powered. A small light sensor generates voltage for the light measurement, and when the probes contact moist soil they effectively create a small galvanic cell that powers the pH and moisture readings. No batteries to buy, replace, or dispose of.

Why soil pH matters
pH affects the solubility and uptake of nutrients and the activity of beneficial microorganisms. Most plants prefer a near-neutral range, roughly 5.5 to 7.5, where essential nutrients are generally most available. Outside that range you may see chlorosis, stunted growth, or poor flowering and fruiting. With regular soil monitoring you can keep conditions within each plant’s preferred window and adjust with lime or sulfur as needed. The unit’s readable pH scale lets you check and track changes over time, plant by plant.
Watering with confidence
Over-watering and under-watering are among the most common causes of plant stress. Because the probes read moisture where roots are active, you can water according to need rather than habit, cutting the risk of rot or drought stress. The included general watering guide and pH reference ranges for vegetables, fruits, flowers, shrubs, and lawns help you baseline care for a wide range of species.
Light made simple
The sunlight strength meter helps you compare locations, check whether “bright indirect” is truly bright enough, and fine-tune placement for light-hungry or shade-loving plants.
Built for everyday use
The integrated probe-and-meter design is lightweight and portable, with approximate dimensions of 50 x 40 x 300 mm and a weight of about 60 g. After testing, all you need to do is remove the probes and wipe them clean to maintain accuracy and longevity. Avoid leaving the meter in soil between readings.
Whether you’re troubleshooting yellowing leaves, planning a new vegetable bed, or optimising light for indoor plants, this 3-in-1 soil pH meter streamlines soil monitoring so you can act quickly and grow better.

Incredibly easy to use:
Slide the 3-position switch to select Moist, Light, or pH.
Insert the probes to the root depth of the plant.
Read the dial and adjust watering, positioning, or amendments accordingly.
Remove probes and wipe clean after each use. Do not leave the meter in soil.

My new favourite garden toy taking the place of my organic fertilizer. Great service too. Thumbs up!!
